controls:

A/D = move

space = jump

m = attack

n = dash (dash is an unlockable ability you get by collection an orb if you go left and then up)

I coded the jump to work like hollow knight where if you hold space you will jump higher. while I was playing with the script, I accidentally coded it so that once your feet leave the ground you have a certain amount of time (0.3 seconds) of holding space before adding that upwards force is disabled. those 0.3 seconds do not have to be consecutive. I thought this was pretty cool and origional and even though I could not think of a realistic reason of how this could tie into the spineslapper's powers I decided to keep it because of the amount of cool platforming it would allow. 

you can test this out by heading left after you spawn.

this is the one and only official Spineslapper game. get hyped everybody! whoop

here is the story:

Spineslapper wants vengeance on the Mafia for killing his girlfriend. However, Spineslapper has a bit of a checkered past, and the renowned detective Kneecap Man will stop at nothing to apprehend him. Spineslapper finally learns the location of the secret Mafia base, but at before he can act, Kneecap Man catches up to him. After an epic boss battle, Spineslapper and Kneecap Man are attacked by Mutant SupaHelf Vitamin Gummies, the result of evil experiments by the Mafia. Realizing that Spineslapper is the only person who can stop the Mafia, Kneecap Man decides to help Spineslapper escape by running back to his lair and bringing back his spare kneecap grappling hook. Spineslapper and Kneecap Man use the grappling hooks to escape the deadly alley and return to Kneecap Man’s lair where they plan their next move. Kneecap Man and the police force will defend the city while Spineslapper descends into the Mafia’s underground base and destroys their secret lab. In the Mafia base, Spineslapper confronts the Mafia Boss, but when he is about to win, the Mafia Boss injects himself with a serum which turns him into Mutant Mafia Boss. After defeating Mutant Mafia Boss, Spineslapper destroys the Mafia’s evil gummy factory and returns to the city where he makes amends with the people of the city and swears to protect them from any threats in the future.
